Saturday morning French toast for our three little monkeys.

Friday Insanity

My Day:

6:00am-Woke up when Matt was leaving for work. I don't want to be awake yet.

6:15-It's quiet in the house. The boys are still asleep.

6:47-No boys running around yet. I'm thinking they should probably shower this morning since they didn't last night. But I don't want to get out of bed. My room is cold and the bed is warm.

7:07-Xander comes in. He says he can't find his brothers. I ask him if they are still in bed. He says "No" and runs back upstairs to look for them. I get up.

7:13- Xander comes back and tells me that his brothers are still sleeping. I turn on the shower. Kalvin comes down a few seconds later.

7:15-I pull Talmage out of bed and carry him downstairs. He fusses about getting into the shower.

7:38-Xander and Talmage wailed and wailed about getting their hair washed, but all three boys are now out of the shower. Xander doesn't want to move, and burrows deeper into his towel on our bedroom floor. Talmage is whining and crying about everything.

7:59-They are all dressed, and having some breakfast. Finally.

8:05-It's time to get coats on and get in the car.

8:23-We are finally in the car and going.

8:30-Kalvin arrives at school just as the bell rings.

8:45-Back home. The little guys are finally in a good mood and run upstairs to play. I start cleaning the house.

9:15-I'm not getting much done. Talmage wants a glass of juice. Then Xander does. But Talmage then cries about not getting the cup Xander is using. Nothing appeases him.

9:42-I can get back to cleaning. Thanks goodness for Dora and Handy Manny cartoons.

10:57-Pulling out of the driveway. We should have left almost 15 minutes ago, but getting shoes and coats on was a major event. As we get on the highway, Xander wiggles in his seat and informs me that he has to go to the bathroom "really bad".

11:20-Arrive at the medical building and beeline to the restroom. He really did have to go. 

12:23-Finally leave the Dr.'s office with a diagnosis of strep-both boys. Head to Costco for Rx.

12:42-Dr hasn't called Rx to pharmacy yet. Leave Costco. Matt will have to pick up meds after work.

12:47-Burger King stop.

12:59-Arrive at office. Pick up W-2's that need to be mailed by tomorrow. Talmage falls asleep.

1:13pm-Halfway home when I remember I forgot to stop at post office enroute. Turn around and head back into town. 

1:24-LOL. I look in rear view mirror and see Talmage trying to eat his cheeseburger. WHILE SLEEPING. He is putting the wrapper in his mouth over and over again trying to "find" the food. He eventually drops it and falls back into a deeper sleep. He is still holding his chocolate milk in the other hand. Xander is also asleep now.

1:41-Arrive home. I leave the car running outside and start shoveling the front porch and remainder of driveway.

2:48-Leave again to pick up Kalvin from school. Xander and Talmage start to wake up.

3:18-Home again. Back to cleaning. The boys run upstairs to play. Phone call with Matt. He is finished for the day and will be home after picking up a few things.

5:15-Still cleaning. Boys start asking about food. Matt isn't home yet.

5:38-I go and get cleaned up for guests to arrive. All the YM/YW ages 16+ in the stake will be here in about a half hour for a fireside/game night.

6:00-Matt arrives. So do some of the youth leaders. I am still tying up last minute cleaning items.

6:30-We have at least 45 people here. Matt takes the boys to go get some dinner. I stay home to "monitor". Our stake president and his wife give a great lesson on free agency. 

7:20-The boys are back. We try to keep them in our bedroom away from guests. Talmage sneaks out about every five minutes to see what's going on.

9:30-The last of the guests leave. Bedtime for everyone. Talmage tries sneaking out of bed more than once.

10:15-I fall asleep while Matt watches Discovery channel.

Just the things I remembered! Yet another ordinary day...
