It was a cool Memorial Day here-45 F and rainy.
Not really the perfect day to do it. In fact, the coop was downright chilly this morning.
But then we put in pine shavings and a heat lamp.
And added chicks!!!
.We left to go run some errands afterwards and were worried that they would be cold, hurt, stressed, etc. No need to be worried! These chickies were quite content and it was obvious they had been roaming, not huddling into a corner--signs of their poop christening were everywhere!
