My back really, really hurts. It has been very unfun at the office this week. And I would rather like to just complain.
But in doing so, I am not acknowledging to my Creator all that's good in my life. Even the yuck-I know that as much as I may think otherwise in these moments, it is while dealing with life's difficulties that I begin to grow and become stronger.
These are the thoughts I had last night as I was driving home. Alone. In peace and quiet. For 90 miles. And facing one of the most beautiful sunsets ever.
Things that make me happy:
Amazing sunsets
Scuba diving with Matt (my best friend, of course!)
My boys giggling
Steam showers
Flowers
Massages
A warm bed on a cold day
Hot cocoa
My Woobie sweater
Ibuprofen
Holding a cuddly newborn
Latin food
Hugs from all my boys
Books
Summer garden
Update:I started the draft for this post last week. Didn't finish.
We had a busy weekend helping someone demo renovate a project. In a town 90 miles away. Got stuck there when a blizzard came through. Spent an unexpected night in a hotel. Still took double the usual time to get home the next day.
My back still really, really hurts.
My doctor and I had a nice visit this morning. And thus, the pharmacist and I shall see each other shortly.
